February Update with Julie Ryan

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)

Dear Friends of Catalyst Ministries,

Our theme this month at Catalyst Ministries is LOVE. As followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, we have the blessing to reflect and express God’s love since it is a fruit of His spirit within us.

I hope you feel loved by God and others around you today. Let me remind you that you are beautifully unique and deeply loved by the Creator of the universe. What a joy this fact is, and it can greatly impact our sense of worth and identity when we believe this.

As we work with the precious survivors through Catalyst Ministries, we want them to understand their worth and wonderful God-given uniqueness. Because of this, we take it into account as we work with them daily. The program we use has commonalities for each resident but is also, in some ways, "customized" for each one.

For example, some residents have completed their high school diploma before they arrive, and some haven't. This is often due to the trauma experienced in their teens. We currently have a resident working through a GED program and is thrilled to have the opportunity to accomplish this important, personal goal. Our staff and volunteers are supporting her in reaching this goal by helping transport her to classes, coordinating the acquisition of any needed curriculum materials, and supporting and cheering her on every step of the way. This is a dream come true for her!

This is just one way that your prayers, financial gifts, and volunteering are helping to show love to the women of Catalyst Farms and Catalyst Ranch. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support and partnership. It’s truly transformational!

 With heartfelt thank you,

 Julie

P.S.  Would you like to help with a special project gift for Catalyst this month? We’re working on completion of a needed privacy fence and need extra “manpower” and materials for this project.  The need is $5500 for the materials. Please contact us here if you’d like to volunteer, and click here to give towards this need. Thank you!
