April Update

Our theme this month at Catalyst Ministries is Faith.  In Hebrews 11 we see that Moses kept moving forward because his eyes were fixed on the one who is invisible. How can we see something that’s invisible? We only can do that with the eyes of faith.  This is what God calls us to, as his children. Hebrews 11 goes on to say this:

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him  must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”  (Hebrews 11:6).

Our work at Catalyst Ministries has been done by faith, and this continues to this day.

Regarding some questions we sometimes receive:

1. Can men volunteer with Catalyst Ministries?

Yes! We are so thankful for the faithful men who volunteer with us! Some examples of how men can serve include (but aren’t limited to) :

  1. Serve on our Property Team

  2. Offer pro bono services as a Dentist, Doctor, Counselor, Builder, Painter, Electrician, etc.(of course we are so thankful for our wonderful women professionals who also volunteer their time).

  3. Begin a men’s prayer group to pray for Catalyst Ministries

  4. Organize a fund raising event

  5. Choose to become a Monthly  Impact Donor

  6. Organize a Work Day with your group or church

We do want to give a HUGE thanks to our Property Team and the men who help keep our property mowed and looking great! Thank you Scott, Doni, Stan and Tim, for ALL you do!

2. How many women are currently at our safehouse and where is the safehouse?

For the safety and confidentiality of the women we serve, we don’t share this information.  This is considered standard practice in any program that houses survivors of abuse, and is done so for their protection.  However, we can share that our Restorative Home currently can house up to 6-8 women.

3. What are the 3 Pillars (areas of priority) of Catalyst Ministries?

Catalyst Ministries helps those often considered “the least of these” through work in three pillars:

  1. Raise Awareness: We educate and engage the local community to understand the realities of human trafficking and sexual exploitation and to help strengthen, support, and advocate for the vulnerable while offering a message of hope.

  2. Rescue: We have a passion to help intercept violence  and bring justice to the oppressed and vulnerable, working together with law enforcement, local churches, agencies, and individuals

  3. Restore: We walk alongside women as they heal from human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and extreme abuse. We operate a  long-term Restorative Home in the Dallas, Texas area called Catalyst Ranch. This home provides free supportive services to foster healing, recovery, and new beginnings. Residents can remain in our long-term program, receiving safe  housing, involvement in restorative and effective programs, medical and therapeutic care, addiction recovery support, and more
