February Update

Happy February!   Our theme this month at Catalyst Ministries is LOVE.

Throughout the Bible, we see amazing examples of God’s love on so many levels.  Here are a few examples:

“You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them and you listen to their cry, defending the fatherless and the oppressed, so that mere earthly mortals will never again strike terror.” (Psalm 10:17-18)

And this one in Psalm 27:10:

“For my father and mother have forsaken me, but the Lord will take me in.”

It’s hard to imagine a father or  mother forsaking us, but sadly sometimes this happens.  And for the women we serve at Catalyst Ministries, it’s surprisingly common.  Sometimes their first experience with abuse and unsafe people began in their own home, long before they were trafficked.

One of the most profound honors we have in our work is to model and demonstrate the love of God and our love to the precious survivors we walk with.  It can take time for them to believe it and to begin to trust but it’s an exciting miracle when they do see that the Lord loves them and that he has “taken them in”.

Thank you for your ongoing prayers and support for these women.  You are showing LOVE as you pray for our work and  the women we serve together.  You’re also showing your LOVE – and God’s –   as you give generously and as you volunteer with us.  All these things make a huge difference in a precious life!  Thank you again for standing with us and partnering with us.  We do appreciate your on-going support!

As we begin to see the signs of early spring, some on our team are planning for the upcoming Golf Tournament taking place on April 30th.  Please check out the link in the image at the bottom of this page, and make plans to show your LOVE and support by sponsoring the event, registering yourself and your team or volunteering for this fun and rewarding day.  It’s a great way to support and it makes a marked difference!

Another great opportunity is to serve together with your friends or group at an upcoming Work Day.  Click on the Volunteer image below to register to come and volunteer, helping to make our property even more beautiful and useful!

With Much LOVE and Gratitude,

Julie
