February Update

“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17)

When we welcome new women to Catalyst Farms, we do all we can to demonstrate our love and God’s love to them. We normally gather a handful of key staff around them, (who will be spending time with them in the coming weeks and months), to share a special meal with them. We give them a tour of the home where they’ll live and show them their own special space and room. We spend time with them, letting them enjoy choosing clothing and things they need from our Catalyst Farms Boutique. Often they arrive with very little, so this is a special time for them. We also present the women with a basket full of items that they will need. We’re intentional in our efforts to enfold and speak “love” to these precious women.

Our biggest hope and prayer is that these women will experience the love of God. This is the heart of what we desire at Catalyst Ministries. We know that His love is the most transforming power on earth. It’s something we all want and need to experience and know. And the wonderful truth is that God is rich in love towards us and earnestly seeks to show us His love in the form of a personal relationship. If we seek Him, we will find Him because He is already seeking us.

As we celebrate a new month at Catalyst Ministries this February, we have chosen the theme of love. And though Valentines are a fun way to celebrate this month, we know that God’s greatest love was shown to us through the gift of His son, Jesus Christ. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever would believe in him would not perish, but would have eternal life.“ (John 3:16)

At Catalyst, we desire to emulate God in giving and loving. Our “culture” in this ministry is one of love and we desire to honor and love each other well as we serve side by side. And our heart’s desire is that this love would be contagious and that the women we serve at Catalyst Farms will come to know the One who truly IS love!

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13)
