"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)
It’s hard to underestimate the power of PRAYER; however, this verse in Chronicles lays out a miraculous promise from God. He will do what he has promised, and we must seek his face, repent, pray, and turn to see his miracle of a healed land unfold.
At Catalyst Ministries, we’ve been reminded again of the power of prayer and God’s calling to us, both as individuals and as a ministry, to seek His face. What a privilege to lay our cares before Him and wait on Him to answer. Thank you to those of you who pray for Catalyst! We are so very grateful for this, and ask you to continue to pray for us and the women we serve. Please take note of some of our special prayer requests and answers to prayer at the bottom of this newsletter.
We want to express a special thanks to our Illinois team! Thank you for your work and prayers over the past year. As we’ve transitioned from our residential program in Bloomington to continue our focus on raising awareness and rescue, there has been a need for some “heavy lifting”. We know the Lord blesses our obedience and our “YES” to him, as we walk by faith - instead of by sight.
Some, from Central Illinois and other areas, have asked if they can serve and volunteer with us, and the answer is YES! We have creative ways that you can continue to help make a difference for the precious survivors that we’re helping see set free. Here are just a few ways that you can begin or continue to make a difference with us:
1. Pray for our staff, volunteers, Board members, and the women who have graduated from our program or will be coming to begin their journey with us soon.
2. Volunteer to help raise awareness in your area. If you’re interested, we have resources and guidance to support you. Contact us here.
3. Become a recurring, monthly donor and help undergird the ministry through your generosity in giving. Donate here.
4. Join us for an event, such as the Be A Catalyst Dinner on October 23rd. Register here.
