“I planted, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.” (1 Corinthians 3:16)
Happy Fall, everyone! Our theme this month at Catalyst Ministries is HARVEST. As a gardener, I love the process of planting, watering, and seeing things grow. In this scripture from 1 Corinthians, the apostle Paul describes so well the process of growth in a person- and the part we can have, partnering with God and others. What a joy and honor that God invites us to partner with him in the eternal work he is doing in people’s lives, as they put their trust in him.
Recently, we saw a beautiful example of getting to witness some of the harvest of seeds that have been planted over the past few years at Catalyst Ministries. As eight of our team members gathered in a local restaurant to celebrate one of our residents' birthdays, we all got to play a part in “watering” and blessing her. She was glowing at the head of the table, as she wore her “birthday tiara”. We each had worn clothes in what we knew to be her favorite colors, and we had a huge bouquet of balloons in these same colors to decorate the table. We brought special gifts for her, and we went around the table and shared some of the many things we love and appreciate about her.
Two years ago, when she moved into Catalyst Ranch, we wouldn’t have been able to “shower” her with love in this way. She was filled with shame and fear. She wouldn't have been able to receive this or be honored in this way. She would have been very anxious to be in public and to receive gifts. God has done wonderful things in her, and he has certainly been bringing growth in her, in every way. We rejoice to see his work!
As we launch forward into the Fall, our calendars are filling up, and we want you to be part of the blessing of all that’s taking place. Please consider joining us for our Be A Catalyst Dinner on October 23rd, where we’ll hear a compelling story from one of our past graduates! Check out the list below and consider jumping in to partner and make a difference with us! YOU are part of the planting and watering, as together we see God bring the growth in precious women’s lives.
Serving with you in this season of Harvest!
